July 14th, 2007 Opening Day!

“I don’t know anything about God.” was the statement of one little boy.

(Isn’t that why we’re here? Pray that that little boy learns!)

“It’s hard to tell my friends No. They do things to get into trouble.”

(Isn’t that why we’re here? To give kids an alternative?)

July 14th, 2007 Beauty is…

“BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.”

Once I would have looked at these pics and said, “What’s the big deal?” But after an early moring prayer walk, I looked at these dumb baseball plates and wept. Knowing what God has already accomplished and envisioning what was to come… Well, I was overcome in worship!

Fri July 13th, 2007 Prayer Walking

Before opening day, we prayer walked the new property. It was an incredible for those who participated. God may have blessed us more than we blessed Him. Try it sometime!

July 9th, 2007 Tons and tons!

The long awaited steel was delivered…as least part one. What may look like little tinker toys to us girls, leave our guys grunting! I was told that those lil “toys” are tons and tons of steel that will be the base for all the other steel…that’s coming a in a few weeks!

July 7th, 2006 What’s under the T?

work-day-7-7-2.bmp

Rows of T-shirts, socks, and pants line Kenton’s table for peewees from 3 foot to 5 foot. Let us be reminded that under those T’s lies a heart and soul. Let us be reminded that THE BIBLE SAYS THAT THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL AND RIPE FOR THE PICKIN’.                              Please pray for Opening Day: We could have 800+ people on our property that morning. Pray for safety of our players, smooth transitions of events and games, for those who are not believers to see the light of Christ in our people and see what God is doing on our property, hearts to soften throughout the season as the Gospel is presented and that we may be good stewards of the lives He entrusts to us.

July 4th, 2007 Prayer Requests

  • Safety for workers!
  • For the Gospel to be shared with everyone that steps on the property!
  • Opening Day baseball is July 14th…hundreds of churchless & Jesusless people.
  • Workers are needed…every day: painting, picking up garbage, sweeping, weed eating, mowing, hammering & nailing. If you have time, let Randy know and he can find a job for you!
  • MooLaa~our payments are starting in August on the loan. We need people to pray to see if God is calling them to renew or begin their pledges to the building fund!

While the big boys were fighting to work in the mud…the lil ones were having a blast.

It’s all a matter of how you look at it!

June 12, 2007 NEEDS vs DESIRES Prt 2

untitled.bmpThe wonderful man doing our brick laying for free…had a vision. Asked us if we would mind him putting a cross in the middle of our dug outs?! What do YOU think? God is so cool!

June 7th, 2007 NEEDS vs DESIRES

Does God supply for our needs?

Duh!

Does God provide for our desires?

Humm.

The quote to errect the dugouts was $14,000. Yes, definitely not a need…even though all the morter was already donated and the bricks came to us at cost…but $14,000?? Holy Cow!

When we turned down the quote, they came back with another quote…”Thank you so much, but we can’t pay that for dugouts.”

They called again…wondering if they can just donate their time…Humm, how long did it take for us to respond, “When can you be there?”

“Tommorrow, but can you provide lunch for the workers?” They wondered.

…heck ya (with all the free food that has been donated from Jewel!!!)

What a reminder that God does care and PROVIDE for our desires too!

FBC’s PROMISED LAND

This picture is from when we first bought the property on Route 6. It had been used as a place to harvest corn and beans for years…may it become a place to harvest souls from now on! Amen and amen!!
